Day Overview
This is the overview of the day's events.
- Times: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (with two-hour sessions)
- Location: Macken Park
Event Overview
We have reserved all courts for the official mixer, with a maximum registration capacity of 5 players for each court. Each session can hold about 20-25 players. This is a registered, individual participation event, meaning you don’t need to form a team beforehand. Instead, you’ll be randomly paired in groups of five to play double matches, offering a chance to team up with and compete against various players. There is a doubles tournament happening at the same time. We'll leave two courts open for team practices.
Date & Time: March 3nd, starting at 9:00 a.m. Each session lasts two hours.
Location: Macken Park, Courts 1-6
Players may sign up for multiple sessions. Each session lasts approximately 2 hours, and you are guaranteed to play eight matches.
Match Structure
- You'll be placed in a group of 5 for rotating doubles matches.
- Each match is to 9 points, no win-by-two.
- You'll play 4 matches per hour, rotating partners and opponents.
- Scores are tallied for fun competition, and we'll remix groups every hour.
Each match within your group is scored, and these scores will be entered into DUPR. For instance, if we have five players on Court 1 from 9:00-10:00 AM, the matches will be arranged as follows:
- Match 1: Player 1 & Player 2 vs Player 3 & Player 4 (Player 5 sits out)
- Match 2: Player 1 & Player 3 vs Player 2 & Player 5 (Player 4 sits out)
- Match 3: Player 1 & Player 5 vs Player 2 & Player 4 (Player 3 sits out)
- Match 4: Player 1 & Player 4 vs Player 3 & Player 5 (Player 2 sits out)
- Match 5: Player 2 & Player 3 vs Player 4 & Player 5 (Player 1 sits out)
This rotation continues, ensuring each player sits out once, allowing everyone to play as both teammates and opponents across five matches. You will play four matches each hour.
Scoring
The first team to reach nine points wins. No winning by two points.
After each match, your total score is tallied. At the top of the hour, we'll mix it up, and you'll play with different people.
Register to secure your spot in the competitive mixer! If you don’t want to compete in the mixer, join us on the fifth court to learn and play. No registration is required there.
